Adrian Lefebour
I started Line Dancing in 1994 and a few months later I got introduced to M. Mavericks and I did my first competition at The Big One and we won the Challenge Cup. In 2001 I competed at Bairnsdale and that year was also the first time I competed with Jess. We have been competing ever since and it has been very successful for Jess & I. We also started our own class in 2001 and we have never looked back. We later moved on from M. Mavericks and that gave Jess & I the opportunity to start Dare 2 Dance Melbourne, which has allowed us to branch out and meet people from interstate and overseas. We now run our own competition called “Super Linedance Weekend”, which is growing to be one of Victoria’s well know Linedance competition. Thank you to all our students and Chris Herbing (All In Line) for supporting Jess & I through out the years, we greatly appreciate it. Also, thankyou to everyone who has helped me be where I am today. Keep on dancing and most important of all keep having fun.

I started Line Dancing in 1994 with my mother, Sue, and brother, Chris. About 4 years later I began competing in local and interstate competition. I joined the Mavericks in 2000 when Jenny took over Black Diamond classes. I first competed with them at Bairnsdale in 2001, which was also the first time I competed with Adrian. Since then we have been successfully competing in many comps both local and interstate (with the exception of the Ringwood comp which I couldn’t compete in due to a broken leg) Starting up a class in 2001 was very scary I must say. Being the youngest instructors in Melbourne at the time there was a lot of expectations that our class would be tooooo difficult. Though we try to appeal to a younger class, and where possible encourage the youth to give it a go, we are realistic in knowing that Line Dancing is for all ages and adjust to the people in our class. Comencing Dare 2 Dance Mebourne was a great oporunity for Adrian and I to branch out and build up our own club. We look forward to hosting events with out brother club Dare 2 Dance Tamworth and supporting our sister club All in Line.
